Bill Malloy is a San Francisco, California-based venture capitalist and business owner with over 15 years of experience working in technology, financial services, and as a entrepreneur. He holds a BS in chemical engineering and project management from Clemson University, and an MBA from USC. Since 2007, he has served as the the Board Member and President of Malloy & Company, that provides capital and business strategy guidance to private businesses and real estate ventures. Concurrent to this position, Bill Malloy serves as a Founder and General Partner and investor at Sway Ventures.
A venture capital firm, Sway Ventures was founded by Bill Malloy and Brian Nugent in 2013. Focusing the firm’s investment strategies on the tech industry, Mr. Malloy leverages his experience working in technology firms and as a venture capitalist to develop a tech investment ecosystem, mitigating risk through clear exit strategies. Within the technology industry, the firm has diverse interests including cyber security, fashion, virtual reality, and financial services applications. In order to safeguard his investments, and provide guidance to tech startups, Bill Malloy serves as a board member, observer, or adviser for a number of these firms.
